16 Women Line Up On Stage — Baffle Crowd With Otherworldly Moves.

.
You might not believe it, but the dancers in the video below aren’t on rollerskates — and they’re definitely not using some mechanized device like a Segway to move around onstage. They’re extremely talented ballet dancers who’ve dedicated literally years of their lives to perfect this so-called “floating step” dance style. Russian choreographer Nadezhda Nadezhdina developed the technique in 1948, by combining Russian folk stories with classical ballet moves.
.
The roughly five-minute video below features the Berezka Ensemble, also known as the Little Birch Tree Choreographic group, performing the mind-bending dance style.Nadezhda noted that all of the performances, “whether it is a lyrical round dance or a jolly one, focuses on the poetical image of the young Russian girl … We want to reflect, as brightly as possible, the purity and grandeur of Russian folk art. This is a source of inspiration for our  ensemble.”

Viewers are enthralled with the flawless performance, comparing the dancers to everything from figurines in those “grand, complex mechanical clocks” to “perfectly beautiful dolls in a music box.” “This is absolutely enchanting,” another commenter said. “I’ve never seen anything like it before.” Watch these incredible “floating” dancers dance here, and be sure to share the news of their amazing talents!
