The true story of Memorial Day

In honor of all our veterans, servicemen and women in active duty and our loved ones that have left us, I wish to take us back today about to the truth of Memorial Day. It is time to go back through history in honor our ancient roots and how we got where we are today. Take a few minutes and read the true story of Memorial Day:          Please pay special attention to #6 and if you don’t understand it, read from the top down again. With that being said, I’ll leave you with these Memorial Day quotes:

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty. – John F. Kennedy

Peace is more important than all justice; peace was not made for the sake of justice, but justice for the sake of peace. – Martin Luther

Soldier, rest! Thy warfare o’er,
Sleep the sleep that knows not breaking,
Dream of battled fields no more.
Days of danger, nights of waking. – Sir Walter Scott

In love and light, we extend our gratitude to all that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We will never forget.
