The fallout of that fateful day, 9/11/01, has changed so much, moving forward.
Each anniversary, people reflect on the hours during and following the attack, but the DAYS to follow were unlike any other time in my life.
The sky was silent. Not a single airplane. Not a single contrail. No noise.
In contrast, American flags were popping up everywhere.
Red, White and Blue was flying all over the side of businesses and homes.
Those days weren’t quite as “instant information” as today, and we weren’t really sure what had happened, or why.
It seemed to take forever before airplanes took to the sky again, and they were a welcomed sight.
