Dr. Anthony Fauci had to face the music in front of the Senate.
It was a sight no one could believe.
And Dr. Fauci sat in stunned silence as the biggest mistake he made blew up in his face.
Kentucky Senator Rand Paul clearly lost all patience with Dr. Fauci and his coronavirus fearmongering.
Paul took Fauci to task when Fauci testified before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.
During his five minutes of questioning, Paul blasted Dr. Fauci for Fauci’s disastrous cheerleading of a national shutdown which ended up throwing 40 million Americans out of work.
“It is a fatal conceit to believe any one person or small group of people has the knowledge necessary to direct an economy or dictate public health behavior. I think government experts need to show caution in their prognostications,” Paul added.
Paul also took Fauci to task for a steady stream of faulty predictions and bad advice that wrecked the economy and threw the American way of life into chaos.
“It’s important to realize that if society meekly submits to an expert and that expert is wrong, a great deal of harm may occur when we allow one man’s policy or one group of small men and women to be foisted on an entire nation,” Senator Paul added.
In March, Fauci told young people it was OK to go on cruise ships and told the nation that masks delivered no protection against infection from the coronavirus.
Paul also ripped Dr. Fauci for past pronouncements threatening to cancel the World Series, NFL season and close down schools for the 2020-2021 academic year.
“Dr. Fauci, every day we seem to hear from you things we can’t do. But when you’re asked, ‘Can we go back to school?’? I don’t hear much certitude at all. ‘Well, maybe.’ ‘It depends.’ Guess what? It’s rare for kids to transmit this. I don’t hear that coming from you. All I hear is, ‘We can’t do this, we can’t do that, we can’t play baseball,’” Paul said.
In fact, Dr. Fauci’s previous fear-mongering ran up against the advice of experts.
The American Academy of Pediatrics stated that schools should be open and children should not be subject to the mask mandates and six-foot social distancing measures that would restrict class sizes and limit some students to in-person education only a few days a week.
This ran counter to Dr. Fauci’s claims back in May that cast doubt on the ability of schools to open.
Rand Paul spoke for millions of Americans that were fed up with Dr. Fauci’s constantly shifting doom and gloom prognostications.
